REACH Policy

REACH (“Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)”) is a European Union (EU) chemicals regulation that entered into force on 1 June 2007, with phased deadlines to 2018. Approximately every 6 months, the European Chemicals Agency ECHA publishes a chemical candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). The latest candidate list of SVHC chemicals can be accessed here.

As a global assembler of cables, wire harnesses and electromechanical assemblies, Tornik LLC and Affiliates (“Tornik”) promotes the overall REACH of improving the protection of human health and the environment. While Tornik, as an assembler of purchased components, is not able to certify REACH requirements contained in the products manufactured by Tornik's suppliers and specified by our customers, Tornik is committed to working with its customers to supply products that meet the customer's specifications regarding REACH requirements and will provide any and all disclosures to our customers, on request, to the extent that Tornik has received them from our vendors.

Tornik has issued a statement to our suppliers and expects its supplier s to only source materials that are REACH compliant. Tornik fully understands the importance of this issue to its customers and is committed to supply chain initiatives and overall corporate social responsibility and sustainability efforts that work towards providing products and services that are safe to use and have a low environmental impact throughout their lifecycle.

Tornik and its suppliers have taken the necessary action to meet the requirements of REACH to ensure that the products Tornik assembles for our customers will continue to meet REACH requirements as defined by the customer design provided to Tornik.
